Ultimate Fudgy Brownies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup 200g granulated sugar
  • ½ cup 100g packed brown sugar
  • ¾ cup 65g unsweetened cocoa powder (high-quality recommended)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup 120g all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup 115g melted unsalted butter (or vegetable oil for a lighter texture)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup 90g chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate (optional, for extra richness)
Optional Add-Ins:
  • ½ cup chopped nuts walnuts, pecans
  • 1-2 tbsp espresso powder enhances chocolate flavor
  • Sea salt flakes for topping

Method
 

Prep & Preheat
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line an 8x8-inch (20x20cm) baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Mix Dry Ingredients
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together:
  2. Granulated sugar
  3. Brown sugar
  4. Cocoa powder
  5. Salt
  6. Baking powder
  7. Flour
Add Wet Ingredients
  1. Stir in melted butter (or oil), eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until just combined (do not overmix).
  2. Fold in chocolate chips or chopped chocolate (and nuts, if using).
Bake
  1. Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  2. Bake for 25-30 minutes (a toothpick should come out with moist crumbs, not wet batter).
  3. For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake (~23-25 mins).
Cool & Slice
  1. Let cool in the pan for 15-20 minutes before lifting out and slicing.
  2. Sprinkle with sea salt flakes (optional) for a gourmet touch.
