Ingredients
  

  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1 medium lime juiced
  • 1 small red onion finely diced
  • 1 medium tomato deseeded and diced
  • 1 –2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 fresh jalapeño pepper deseeded & finely chopped, optional
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Cut each avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
  2. Mash gently with a fork for a chunkier guacamole or more thoroughly for a smoother texture.
  3. Stir in the diced onion, tomato, garlic, jalapeño (if using), and chopped cilantro.
  4. Add lime juice, then season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix gently to combine.
  5. Enjoy with tortilla chips, as a topping for tacos, or as a side with grilled meats.
