Ingredients

For the Big Mac Sauce:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

For the Burger Patties:

  • 1 pound ground beef 80/20
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

For Assembling the Big Mac:

  • 3 sesame seed burger buns top, bottom, and middle bun layers
  • 2 slices American cheese
  • ¼ cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 2 tablespoons diced onion
  • 4-5 dill pickle slices

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, pickle relish, mustard, vinegar, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors blend.
  • Slice the extra bottom bun from a second burger bun to create the middle bun layer. Lightly toast all buns for that classic fast-food texture.
  • Divide the ground beef into two thin patties (about ⅛ pound each). Season with salt and pepper. Cook on a hot skillet or griddle for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
  • Spread Big Mac sauce on the bottom and middle bun layers.
  • Add shredded lettuce, diced onions, and pickle slices to each layer.
  • Place a cheeseburger patty on the bottom bun and another on the middle bun.
  • Stack everything together and crown it with the top bun.

Notes

  • Use thin patties – This helps mimic the fast-food-style bite.
  • Refrigerate the sauce – The longer it sits, the better the flavor.
  • Use shredded lettuce – It gives the Big Mac that classic McDonald's texture.
  • For extra authenticity, serve with crispy French fries!
